CFCR is a nonprofit community radio station. That not only means we aim to service our local community, but it also means we rely on our local community. We rely on people getting involved because they appreciate what we do. Below is a list of ways you can support our organization with varying levels of involvement.

Ways to Support & Get Involved with CFCR

Work with us. CFCR 90.5 FM is seeking a dedicated and community-minded leader to serve as our General Manager. As the operational heart of the station, the General Manager oversees all staff and volunteers, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains the financial health of community radio in Saskatoon. See the job posting here and send applications to [email protected]. Applications will be accepted until April 3, 2026.

Tell people about CFCR. Take a look at our schedule, and you’ll notice there’s something for everyone. Let people know about a program they’ll enjoy!

Host a show. If you’ve ever been told you have a face voice for radio, consider applying to become an on-air host. Whether you want to host an existing daytime show like Green Eggs & Ham, The Swing Shift, or The Buzz, or you have an idea for a new show, we want to know! Find the application forms here and contact Jay at [email protected] with any questions.

Work a bingo for us. One of the ways we fundraise is by working with City Centre Bingo. Volunteering for a bingo shift is an impactful way to help us, a non-profit, make some income. We really, really, really appreciate our bingo volunteers. Contact Madi at [email protected] for more information about working bingo shifts.

Submit your community events to [email protected]. We post events on our website, and our on-air segment, Community Events Magazine, highlights community events and programs.

Tell the CFCR listeners about the cool things you’re doing. We host live on-air interviews on The Buzz, which airs live each weekday from 5 to 6pm. There are also interview opportunities on some of our other programs, so please email our Program Director Jay at [email protected] for more information.

Engage with our social media. We’re on Facebook and Instagram. Aside from following us, here are some more ways to engage with our posts to ensure they reach a larger audience: like, comment, send to a friend, share on your story, and repost.

Rep CFCR. We have some merch that you can purchase here or at the station. We also have stickers at the station, and placing one somewhere highly visible is a great way to help us advertise... keep it legal, please.

Donate. Self-explanatory.

Buy a membership. Upon purchasing a membership, you become a member of the Community Radio Society of Saskatoon. Our 2025-2026 memberships expire March 31, so mark your calendars—April is the month of our 2026-2027 Membership Drive!

Attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM). We have our AGM in June and attending is a great way to get involved and have your voice heard. Each membership, whether held by an individual or a group, affords one vote in any elections presided over by the board.

Use our Co-op number. Use 219173 next time you’re shopping at a Saskatoon Co-op, and we’ll receive some dividends from every purchase.

Volunteer off-air. Volunteers help out at events, hang up posters around the community, and are a critical component of making our yearly fundraising campaign—FM-Phasis—a success. We also occasionally start a larger project and appreciate volunteers supporting us as needed. Apply to be an off-air volunteer here.

Advertise with us. Contact our CFCR Advertising Representative Dave at [email protected] or 306-249-5129 to have your business, organization, or event advertised on the air. Our Production Manager Inari will work with you to create an effective and memorable advertising campaign.

Attend our events. We host some fundraising events throughout the year, such as concerts. We’ll advertise our upcoming events on the air, on social media, and in our newsletter.

Send us your music. We welcome albums/EPs for host airplay consideration. Please read more information about this process here. Contact our Music Director Arnie at [email protected] with any questions.

Tell someone that their ad on CFCR worked. If you hear an ad and it inspires you to go shop at that store or attend that event, let them know that you heard about it on CFCR!

We wouldn’t be on the air without our amazing community, and we appreciate every little act of support! Thank you!

Album of the Month

From hosting CFCR's Hot Buttered Soul, to playing stages across the world, the Sheepdogs are back with their eighth studio album, Keep Out of the Storm. Their patented blend of Southern boogie rock, groove-based psychedelia, and bluesy barroom swagger is on full display.

For fans of: AWESOME!

CFCR acknowledges that we broadcast from Treaty 6 Territory, the homeland of the Cree and Métis Nations, and the traditional territories of the Dene, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota. We pay our gratitude to the First Nations and Métis people who have called this ancestral land home for generations, and whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our community. On a foundation of reconciliation, recognition, and respect, CFCR is committed to reaffirming relationships with one another, and to establishing new ones.
