CFCR Community Connect - November 2024

November’s CFCR Community Connect features The Pink Wig Foundation, a “province-wide, volunteer-driven nonprofit who's mission is to continually expand our reach, supporting women aged 16-50 who are undergoing treatment, in recovery, or in remission, easing their journey and fostering hope in their time of need.”

November Plain AIR

Plain AIR is Artist-In-Residence Radio, broadcasting every Saturday from 3-4PM on 91.3 CJTR in Regina and every Sunday from 11PM-12AM on CFCR 90.5FM in Saskatoon!
Tune in during November to hear episodes produced by Saskatoon-based band Blind Commentary.
Blind Commentary is a shoe-gaze/emo-gaze/all-gaze band, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The band's main sound of shoe-gaze is prominent, enveloping listeners in layers of dreamy fuzzy tones and reverb-filled guitars.
Tune in to Plain AIR in November to hear Blind Commentary showcasing music that inspires them, along with bands they look up to. They'll also be discussing their photoshoot & styling collaboration with local photographer Jaded Exposure and vintage clothing curator/stylist KarissaPreloved.

Youth Programming Update

Youth Radio Camp at The Recording Arts Institute - Summer 2024
Youth Radio Club is back in action! Meeting biweekly, we've already explored the station’s CD library to create genre-based playlists, used websites to discover new music, crafted themed playlists, and learned editing basics. We've also taken our favorite songs and transformed them into on-air segments. Tune in to catch our work on Youth Radio, broadcasting every other Saturday at 10 AM!
